Norwegian Leaders Parrot the European Narrative on the Refugee Suspension

Norwegian Leadership Responds to DJT’s Executive Order Suspending Refugee Immigration:

Today in VG, like in many newspapers around Europe, PM Solberg and FM Brende chanted the party line on President Trump’s decision without reading the actual text in the Executive Order.

From Sec. 3. “Suspension of Issuance of Visas and Other Immigration Benefits to Nationals of Countries of Particular Concern.”

Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg and Minister of Foreign Affairs Børge Brende (the same guy who traded Norway’s soul to sell fish)

FM Brende Expressing concern:
“I’m worried about the latter-day decisions, and signals from Trump administration says.” (
Quote made to VG)

Brende Ordering America what to do:
The US also must accept their share of quota refugees. It is deeply regrettable that President Trump now pausing US Settlements Programme. We assume that the United States will continue to participate in the joint international efforts for resettlement of refugees in the future,” (Quote made to VG)

FM Solberg making it obvious she didn’t read the document or reviewing the history:
Refugees and other people must be treated equally regardless of religion, nationality and skin color. The USA violates this by refusing entry.” (Quote made to VG)

It is quite obvious that Norwegian leadership not only lacks intellect but also empathy. America has enough problems already. They also fail to consider that when a nation takes refugees, they are empowering the oppressive regime in power by making it easy for them to grab property, assets, and land that was left behind. Trump’s plan to create safe zones or perhaps nations within nations makes more sense.

It’s Not a Ban!

It is just a temporary suspension. Although the countries have Muslim majorities, the order was based on security reviews undertaken by the Obama Administration. In the past, Jimmy Carter banned immigration from Iran, unless applicants could prove they were against Khomeini, and Obama banned immigration from Iraq.

Breitbart (Photo): ABC News reported on the six-month refugee freeze (emphasis added): As a result of the Kentucky case, the State Department stopped processing Iraq refugees for six months in 2011, federal officials told ABC News – even for many who had heroically helped U.S. forces as interpreters and intelligence assets.

Once again, we see Norwegian media and leadership formulating opinions and making statements based on incomplete facts. They appear more interested in winning popularity contests instead of reporting correct information by which we can navigate.

Not Backing Down

Stephen Miller (President Trump’s Senior Policy Advisor), “The US has an absolute sovereign right to determine who can and cannot enter the country!”

Poland further supports America: Witold Waszczykowski said “no state has the duty to accept immigrants” and that Trump “was elected president, he has the right” to impose the ban. (Statement made on 29.1.2017 on Polsat News)

Economics is the art and science of allocating scarce resources against unlimited wants. Hence, making those decisions require a leader who can prioritize and deal with the backlash from inevitable disappointments. Europe’s approach, giving everything to everybody, will end up leaving nothing for no one.

The Norwegian media and leadership should commend the new American leadership for having a backbone and having the courage to make difficult decisions and painful course corrections. President Trump and his team are delivering on what they promised and standing by their decisions, despite the emotionally based outcry, for the greater good of their own people.

We are finally seeing America’s departure from the Globalist paradigm that we must take direction from unqualified foreigner leaders against our own well-being. After the President restores prosperity, America will be begging for immigrants and refugees as it did before on Ellis Island.

But we must first get our house in order first! When there are abundant jobs and prosperity, there is generosity!
