These are the TV shows that I think best identify and convey the American culture and spirit:
Colonel Hogan embodied the American spirit: charismatic, quick thinking, resourcefulness, and always finding an opportunity, even when confronted with impossible situations.
The Dukes of Hazzard
Bo and Luke Duke were cool and Daisy was hot. Boss Hogg and Rosco reminded me of Klink and Schultz from Hogan’s Heros. It was a great show, offering an escape every Friday night into the backwoods.
Sanford and Son
This was a great show about the relationship between father and son. Moreover, the light hearted racial humor showed that we have more in common than we think as Americans, regardless of background.
Chico and the Man
Chico wins acceptance and endearment through hard work, showing those traits transcend race and ethnicity.
The classic cops and robbers show explains my current fascination with motorcycles.
Have a nice weekend.
